Expedition 344S, also known as the Baffin Bay Scientific Coring Program, was not a regular IODP expedition and was funded by an industry consortium led by Shell. The coring operations, reporting and data collection procedures were implemented in the same manner and with the same care as for any IODP Expedition. The data were released at the end of the licensing period by the Greenland Ministry of Industry, Energy and Research.
