Because of the intense circulation of cold fluids during drilling, the temperatures recorded are much lower than the formation temperature (compare with the discrete measurements made with the WSTP upon re-entry, before drilling). The two strong negative anomalies at ~520 and ~710 mbsf correlate with low resistivity intervals apparent in the resistivity log and FMS images. This could indicate permeable units that have been invaded by the drilling fluid and recover more slowly than the otherwise impermeable formation.
